February 10th, Introduction to Azure Data Catalog, Meeting at 4 PM PST!!!!

Microsoft Teams Meeting

Link will be posted the day of the meeting.

Salem SQL will be hosting this meeting.  Oregon Data Community is now part of the PNW Data Community. The PNW Data Community represents all of the SQL and Data groups (but not Power BI!!) as far south as Eugene, as far east as Spokane, and as far North as Victoria, BC.  We are working together and sharing resources to during this time when we are meeting virtually.  Each group is still its own independent group of data professionals.  Even after we are allowed to meet in person, our PNW Community will continue to work together, especially in the light of PASS, our former parent organization, going bankrupt. We look forward to hosting our next Data Conference together!

As you may have noticed, the time for the meeting has changed.  In order to make it easier for our many Data Speakers, we are experimenting with different start times.   This month, we are lucky enough to have Angela Henry speaking to us on the Azure Data Catalog.  Because she lives on the East Coast, we are starting at 4 PM PST!!!!

Here’s Angela!

Abstract:

Intro to Azure Data Catalog

Your company has amassed more data than it can possibly use, yet no one can find the data they need. This is more common than you think. With Azure Data Catalog, anyone can find the data they are looking for, no matter the data source. This session will introduce you to Azure Data Catalog, what it is, how you can use it and why everyone should be using it.
