We will always have our “evening” meeting on the 2nd Wednesday of the month at 4 PM PST, and a second meeting on the 4th Wednesday of the month at 12 PM PST!!

Title: How Storage Systems Work With SQL Server
Abstract:
In this session we will learn how SQL Server interacts with storage devices for the different operations that it performs. You will learn about the basic concepts of storage, PerfMon counters, and understand how storage metrics directly correlate with database performance.
An overview of storage stacks in virtualization and container/Kubernetes environments will be in the agenda as well.
We will also go over the different kinds of storage available for SQL Server, both on-premises and in the cloud.
