Welcome to the February 21st, 2024 HYBRID meeting!
We are once again meeting in person in Vancouver, WA at the downtown Umpqua Bank in their Community Room!
We meet on the 3rd Wednesday of the month once again at 6:00 PM PST. We will have snacks and networking before the main meeting.
But… we will continue to operate monthly online meetings through the PNW collaborative facilitated by the Oregon Data Community. Due to this, you will be able to attend the meeting remotely and we are definitely open to remote speakers.

Title: SQL Server enabled by Azure Arc Explained
Abstract:
Azure Arc-enabled SQL Server extends Azure services to SQL Server instances hosted outside of Azure: in your data center, in edge site location like retail stores, or any public cloud or hosting provider. Curious to learn more? Join this session to learn the architecture of Arc-enabled SQL Server and see how you can leverage it in action.
Bio:
Nikita Takru is a product manager for Microsoft’s Azure Data team.
At Microsoft, Nikita works on Azure Arc-enabled Data Services which
allows Azure capabilities to be extended to any infrastructure
across multicloud, on-premises, and edge environments for customers.
Before joining Microsoft, Nikita graduated from the University of Southern California
with a degree in Computer Science & Business. In college, she was on the board of
USC Women in Computing and the LavaLab startup incubator. Besides this,
Nikita founded a program called CodeUCan in 2014 to teach coding skills
to elementary and middle school children. She was awarded a commendation
by the San Jose, California City Council for helping provide digital
literacy skills to students in the Bay Area through the CodeUCan program.
