SQL Server Performance Tuning – Tidbits for Beginners
Maintaining SQL Server performance is a constant task. Whether you are a developer or an administrator, there are many things that you can do to avoid those poorly performing queries. In this short session I’ll discuss some common guidelines and offer some tidbits for developing fast queries; and if you already have some poorly performing queries, I’ll show you some ways to identify and fix them.

He has attained MCSE, MCITP (both Administration and Development), and MCT certifications, among others. Vern has been working with databases for over 20 years, and has worked with SQL Server since version 4.21a.
